After the Seoul Round in May, SVIF’s 2026 global roadshow makes its next stop in Busan. The International Future Finance Forum (IFFF) Busan Round 2026 takes place on June 16–17, 2026 at the iconic Nurimaru APEC House in Haeundae — a gathering where Busan’s digital and financial strengths meet Sapporo’s GX and AI capabilities to chart a new course for the future of finance.
A Welcome to Busan
The forum is hosted by the Busan Chamber of Commerce and organized by the Busan Forum. In welcoming guests, Dr. Cho Kwan-hong, President of the Busan Forum, framed the event as a place where Korea and Japan open a new route for future finance together — Busan’s port heritage and digital economy meeting Sapporo’s green transformation. The theme, “From Port to Platform,” captures that ambition: a fusion of DX, FX, and GX across the two cities.

The Venue: Nurimaru APEC House
Nurimaru APEC House sits on Dongbaekseom (Dongbaek Island) at the edge of Haeundae Beach, with sweeping views of the sea and the Gwangan Bridge. Built in 2005 to host the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting, its distinctive dome draws on the form of a traditional Korean pavilion. The name “Nurimaru” combines nuri (world) and maru (summit) — a fitting stage for a forum about connecting markets across borders.
